Back in Belton: Our Way Home

Every band has chapters. Ours took us away from Belton, Texas, and in 2023 brought us back to it.

What happened in 2012?

On 22 October 2012 we announced that Lacey Sturm was leaving the band. Kristen May took over lead vocals and sang with us from 2012 to 2016, on the Who We Are EP (2013) and on our fourth album, Between the Stars (2014).

Why did we go quiet?

Kristen left in August 2016, and Flyleaf went on hiatus.

How did we come back?

• November 2022: Lacey's return was first teased.
• 27 April 2023: we played a reunion show in Belton, the town where we started in 2002.

Who is on stage now?

Lacey Sturm on lead vocals, Sameer Bhattacharya on lead guitar, Jared Hartmann on rhythm guitar, Pat Seals on bass and James Culpepper on drums.

What does that mean for the merch?

• The whole story: the designs in the shop draw on every chapter, from the Fully Alive single of the first album to the artwork that matches the mood of the later records.
• Wear it anywhere: to a show, on a long drive or on an ordinary day.
• Something for everyone: every design comes on tees, long sleeves, crewnecks and hoodies, plus kids' and youth sizes.
